Rodney Almon Welsh, 73, of Lawler, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 1st, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He was born April 20, 1943, in West Union, Iowa the son of Gilbert and Lucille (Wickham) Welsh.
After retiring from a career in pipeline construction, he enjoyed spending his days with his old dog, Bear.
He is survived by four sisters, Georgia Andrews of Elgin, Iowa, Connie Paschal of Marquette, Iowa, Ava Tucker of Lawler, Iowa, and Carla McClanahan of Clever, Missouri; one daughter, Delynne Kamp of Mason City, Iowa; three sons, Sharvis and Shane Welsh both of Mason City, and Rodney Dean Welsh of Northwood, Iowa; four grandchildren; and LaRae Welsh, his children’s mother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Hawkeye Cemetery. Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Hawkeye is assisting Rodney’s family.
